Karl Maher is a Chartered Accountant and Financial Controller at Sensational Kids CLG, bringing over 28 years of expertise in accounting, auditing, and financial management to the charity’s mission of delivering accessible therapy to children with additional needs.

Throughout his career, Karl has progressed through numerous roles in the accounting industry, from Trainee to Director & Partner at McMahon & Co in Kildare, before joining Sensational Kids. Today, he oversees financial operations and supports strategic growth.

In his role as Financial Controller, Karl is responsible for budgeting, financial reporting, internal controls, and audit compliance, ensuring robust financial governance across all funds raised. He safeguards transparency and accountability so that every euro donated is managed effectively and directed toward helping children with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, sensory processing differences, and more reach their full potential. His leadership ensures that the charity’s resources are optimized for maximum impact and long-term sustainability.
