Sarah Crowley, Paediatric Occupational Therapist, at Sensational Kids, West Cork

Sarah Crowley joined our occupational therapy team at our Child Development Centre in Clonakilty, West Cork in January 2019, having graduated from Queen Margaret University,  Edinburgh with an MSc in Occupational Therapy. Sarah’s work experience includes working as a Youth Support Worker with Lothian Autistic Society, as a Health Care Assistant with Le Cheile, Cope Foundation Cork, which included the provision of care and support using a child-centred approach within a respite centre for children with learning disabilities and/or autism. In addition, Sarah has  volunteered in Cope’s children’s respite unit supporting children with intellectual disabilities and/or autism to engage in meaningful activities, as well as volunteering as a summer camp leader for children with intellectual disabilities and/or autism at Co-Action, and as a literacy mentor, with Suas Education Development.

Since joining our team at Sensational Kids, Sarah has completed several continuous professional development training courses including Ayres Sensory Integration, Floortime, Handwriting Without Tears and Therapeutic Listening.

Sarah has already completed training in Ayres Sensory Integration and is currently completing training to become an Ayres Sensory Integration Practitioner.  Ayres Sensory Integration is evidence based, accredited and internationally recognised training for sensory integration.
