Grace O’Donoghue, Paediatric Occupational Therapist, at Sensational Kids, West Cork

Grace O’Donoghue is an experienced paediatric occupational therapist who has joined our team in our Child Development centre in Clonakilty, West Cork.  Grace graduated from University College Cork in 2007 with a degree in Occupational Therapy. Following her graduation, Grace worked in a private children’s occupational therapy clinic in Dublin whilst studying for a Masters in Art Psychotherapy.   Grace has since worked with children with a variety of diagnoses, including Sensory Processing Disorder, Autism, Dyspraxia, Developmental Coordination Disorder, Neurological conditions, Down Syndrome and Intellectual Disabilities in both England and Ireland.

 

Grace has worked in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) where she also studied positive parenting approaches, such as The Incredible Years and Helping the Non-Compliant Child.  She is passionate about empowering parents with the knowledge, skills and confidence to support their children and their homes.

 

Grace also has significant experience in guiding her practice with a variety approaches, including Sensory Integration.  She has already completed significant training in Ayres Sensory Integration and is currently finalising her training to become an Ayres Sensory Integration Practitioner.  Ayres Sensory Integration is evidence based, accredited and internationally recognised training for sensory integration.
