If your child is talking, but needs help to expand their language skills by learning to describe, explain and discuss things, then, these cards are useful.
They can be used to teach your child new ways of describing why certain things logically ‘go together’.
Explain to your child why other pictures do not match and give other examples to help your child see the ‘logical’ connections.
Use these to teach:
- the understanding and use of vocabulary
- word association
- logical thinking
- language processing
- word categories/classes.
These cards may also be used to teach sentence formation.
Teach him/her how to explain their choice,for example, the picture of the ‘bird’ matches with the picture of the ‘nest’ because the bird builds the nest and lays eggs in it, the picture of the ‘sock’ matches with the picture of the ‘shoe’ because we wear both on our feet. etc.
