This book is written for children due to the need for awareness and understanding that must be developed, not only by children with hearing loss, but also by their peers. Additionally, this book will help reduce anxiety in those children first being diagnosed with hearing loss and who are being fitted with hearing aids.

Read about a young elephant called Oliver who wears hearing aids. He still is having trouble understanding what people are saying in school where there is lots of noise. So they visit the audiologist who recommends that his teacher and Oliver use an FM system where the teacher speaks into a microphone and the sound goes into Oliver's hearing aids. Oliver can't wait to show his class the FM system and soon he can hear clearly and gets top marks in his spelling test!
